EStat 5.0 Educational software from the good people at Field Precision. A complete package for two-dimensional finite-element mesh generation and electrostatic solutions. The demonstration package handles 10,000 nodes and six solution regions.
CPO-2D and CPO-3D - electrostatics programs, particularly useful for cathode and space-charge problems. They are based on the Surface Charge Method. Using this link, you can download the student editions of these programs. The student editions cannot be used for space-charge simulations, or when the number of segments exceeds 150 in CPO-2D or 400 in CPO-3D. Other limitations also exist -the maximum number of different electrodes is 10, User-supplied time-dependent voltages are not allowed, and in CPO-3D only two magnetic field component are allowed and User-supplied magnetic fields are not allowed.
Maxwell SV - a full-featured subset of Ansoft's commercially distributed Maxwell 2D, is powerful, accurate software for two-dimensional, electromagnetic, and electrostatic-field simulation. It is intended for electrical engineering students studying topics relating to the design of electromagnetic components, such as sensors, actuators, motors, and transformers. Ansoft offers this version of Maxwell to foster and encourage the development of engineering skills throughout the electrical design community.
SIMION 3D - ion optics simulation program designed to study and analyze ion optics in both two and three dimensional modes or views. Electrostatic and magnetic potential arrays can be studied with this software to determine their effect on ion trajectories. It incorporates an ion optics workbench strategy that allows you to size, orient, and position up to 200 instances (3D images - or mirages) of these potential arrays within a workbench volume of up to 8 cubic km. Complex systems or even entire instruments can be modeled. Ions can be simulated, flown singly or in groups through the created geometry, displayed as lines or flying dots, and automatically be re-flown to provide movie effects when needed. Other features include data recording, charge repulsion, user programs, and geometry files. The result is a program that can model a wide range of problems including: mass spec ion source and detector optics, time-of-flight instruments, ion traps, quadrupoles, magnetic sectors, electrospray and thermospray systems, ICR cells and much more.

Finite Element Method Magnetics - very cool free software for 2-D planar and axisymmetric magnetic problems (including linear and nonlinear magnetostatic problems and linear low frequency harmonic problems).
Radia - Radia is a fast multiplatform software dedicated to 3D magnetostatics computation. It is optimized for the design of undulators and wigglers made with permanent magnets, coils and linear/nonlinear soft magnetic materials. Requires Mathematica.

Radiochemistry and Nuclear Chemistry - complete PDF online edition.
Scope: Radiochemistry or Nuclear Chemistry is the study of radiation
from an atomic or molecular perspective, including elemental transformation
and reaction effects, as well as physical, chemical, health and medical
properties. This revised edition of one of the earliest and
best-known books on the subject has been updated to bring into teaching the
latest developments in research and the current hot topics in the field. In
order to further enhance the functionality of this text, the authors have
added numerous teaching aids that include an interactive website that features
testing, examples in MathCad with variable quantities and options, hotlinks to
relevant text sections from the book, and online self-grading texts. As
in the previous edition, readers can closely follow the structure of the
chapters from the broad introduction through the more in depth descriptions of
radiochemistry then nuclear radiation chemistry and finally the guide to
nuclear energy (including energy production, fuel cycle, and waste
management).
The Langmuir Probe -Basic plasma diagnostic tool.
Retarding Field Energy Analyzer (RFEA) - Few plasma diagnostics are capable of directly measuring the ion temperature. One successful approach employs the retarding field energy analyzers (RFEA). The RFEA is a versatile diagnostic capable of measuring not only the ion temperature but the whole ion or electron parallel energy distribution, as well as the plasma potential. Operation of the RFEA is based on selectively rejecting or retarding either the plasma electrons or the ions. RFEA typically consists of a collector electrode with two or more separately biased fine grids placed in front of it. The plasma particles enter the analyzer through a small input slit or hole. In the ion mode of operation the electrons are rejected by a negatively biased grid, and the ions are then retarded by a positively biased grid. Varying the retarding grid voltage one can obtain an integral distribution of the ion parallel energy above the level defined by the grid voltage. In the electron mode of operation the grid voltages are reversed.

Table of Nuclides - Very cool cross section plotter. As Richard Hull said: "To use it just type the symbol for any element in the small box labeled nuclide in the extreme upper left of the intro screen. This will show all of the natural isotopes and their elemental abundances plus all the other man-made isotopes of the element. From here click on what nuclide strikes your fancy. Presto.......All the significant data regarding the nuclide is displayed. If you want to see the cross sections, then just click on the N-XS summary hot button to the extreme left and a plethora of various neutron cross sections for the particular nuclide are displayed."
